Greetings in the name of God who is love.

“Shepherd King” is an unusual name for a congregation. The people who worship, learn, and minister here contemplate our congregation’s name so that it can guide us in our work.  We know Jesus as our Lord and our King, but he is not the same as many secular kings who rule with self-interest and domination. Because he is also a shepherd, Jesus has humble roots.   Born among the poor, Jesus takes note of the poor, the hungry, the suffering and shows them compassion.
