Shepherd King has adopted Eisenhower Middle School as its own school and calls this project “S.O.S.” or Support Our School. We offer our assistance to Eisenhower, a neighborhood school, by collecting school supplies for the fall, encouraging members to be mentors to students there, offering Homework Help to middle school students, and being available for other Eisenhower projects like helping with Science Fairs or winter coat collections or promoting spaghetti suppers at the school. Eisenhower is “our” school. S.O.S. – support our school!

 

CAM - Christian Assistance Ministries

Shepherd King collects canned goods and clothes for CAM the first Sunday of every month. We also support them each year with financial donations. Christian Assistance Ministries offers practical help to individuals and families in need in San Antonio.

 

QUILTERS

 

A group of dedicated women gather each Tuesday morning to sew and tie quilts. Most of the quilts are then donated to Lutheran World Relief which distributes them to needy people around the world.
